It is pretty cool! Smile

This video shows the actual performance of an Nvidia Quadro Plex 1000 Model IV when running the first two levels of Doom 1

Take note of the graphics memory usage! (Way beyond the scope of most GPU's from the 2006 era!!!)

I still have some of the FX5600 boards from one of these along with 2 sets of interface boards and cables if you need any spares.

Cool.

I’ll keep that in mind!

Right now, I’m about to start saving for the Voodoo5 5500 that I need for my Socket 8 build!

They’re ridiculously expensive at this point! (You can buy a very decent RTX card for what one of these things cost!)

I have a Mac edition Voodoo 5 5500 that I got in a lot of miscellaneous cards for $200. For some of this old stuff you can sometimes find them in a lot for a lot less than when the item is searchable.
Same phenomenon as picking rare LPs at yard sales (where the seller hasn't researched the price of each item) compared to record stores (who have done that).

Nice find!!!

I currently have an automated search going for "3DFX", which pretty much shows everything 3DFX!

I plan of getting the card in January or February, so I keep a daily lookout, but at some point I'm going to have to pull the trigger!!!

A PCI Mac variant which is flashed for PC is my goal! (I like the fact that they have the DVI output!!!)

These are the ones that are currently available:

Not cheap, but hopefully something cheaper comes up in the next few months!!!

This video shows Brutal Doom with most mods including the enhanced .wad file for Doom 1 Episode 1 running on an Alienware Area51 7500 machine from 2006 equipped with an Nvidia Quadro Plex 1000 Model IV.
