Thank's man, I certainly will.

If I have some time this weekend, I'll work on the driver-carrier and the module that marries it to the cabinet.

The main cabinet structure will have to wait though, as my wave-tank is in Cape Town and I want to model the wave-guide profiles correctly.

Cool! I'm sure every time you press 'render' Eskom get a little happy feeling and smiles all round as they see the quad Tezro tick up your bill! Smile

That's for sure :(

I therefore have to run it strategically (Only when I'm going to achieve something worth the cost of running the machine!)

The cost of running the V880z in the future really terrifies me, as that's a real space heater! (So is the Tezro for that matter!)

Very nice renders Irinikus, top notch! Smile

Everything I know about rendering in Maya 6 I learned from reading this book:

Thanks for the complement, and it's thanks to you that I'm able to render on this machine at all!

Better things are hopefully still to come. (I'll probably do some more rendering this weekend.)

Thanks for the pointer to the book. Smile

The Alias Learning Tools books are great, I've got 14 or 15 of them. Indispensable in getting over the Mount Everest-like Maya learning curve... :o

Some experimentation with bump mapping before I continue with the cabinet construction:
