Is a Deskside System the most powerful system someone could buy?

The most powerful SGI system that you can buy, in the smallest form factor is the quad 1GHz Tezro.

It's twice as powerful as the most powerful desk side Onyx2.

If you want a considerably more powerful system, you will need to go for a rack mount system with multiple racks, which is rather impractical to have at home.

There's basically no software for the Prism, as far as I know. It's a nice looking system, but that's about all that can be said for it though!

I see one for sale through google search.
6000 dollars plus for the price.

You can pick one up for less than that from Mashek systems.
Take note that it's not an IRIX machine and runs Red Hat linux.
