Lucent PSU schemes (Octane)

RE: Lucent PSU schemes (Octane)
Original mention of "rails" was referring to the bus bars on the frontplane that the giant pegs on the PS plug into, if I'm not mistaken. They are designed to handle massive current, and in fact exceed any power bus I've seen inside any other computer of Octane(2) size, and even most racks.

The more likely scenario to work, rather than a PC PSU as a donor, maybe an industrial subsystem from a hardwired diesel generator, or something similar. Ditch the existing input (of whatever voltage but most likely not 120v AC) and adapt in the step up/down to main rail voltage before splitting to 3.3, 5, and 12v.

RE: Lucent PSU schemes (Octane)
Can anyone please measure input impedance of old Octane PSU (060-028-*** part number with black handle)? I measured today two Cherokees - it is about 100 kOhm, but I still hope to resurrect my old PSU.
