Presenter 1280
I picked up a Presenter 1280 today in East Bay for quite cheap(free, actually). It also came with an R5k Indy, IRIX 6.2 disks, mouse and keyboard, and that IRIX desktop mousepad. Since the Presenter is new to me, I have really no idea what issues to look for, or how to take care of it, or what features it has. If someone can bring me up to speed, that would be great!

Well, first of all you can use it as a sort of LCD screen. And you can put it on top of an overhead projector and use it as a beamer for presentations.

RE: Presenter 1280
I did browse through the pdf for it. If I had to reinstall IRIX, is the software built into IRIX, or is it on a separate disk or tardist update.

I think the software is included on the IRIX discs. Just run "/etc/autoconfig -fv" as root to probe for hardware and rebuild the kernel. Then reboot and check 'hinv'.
