SGI O2: CD-ROM cog missing
Hi,
I recently got an SGI O2 but the CD-ROM drive was not opening and felt loose enough to slide out without pressing the eject button. When I opened it up, the small plastic cog connected to the motor was missing. I was wondering if anyone had a CAD model or dimensions and photos to reference from to make a CAD file to 3D print.

Sorry, no. I know they tend to fall out...It's a classic case of 'sick O2 CD-rom'.

I would go one further and replace it with a Toshiba SD-M1401 drive, they can usually be found on eBay for very cheap as they are pulled from old servers. I bought 2 for £15 and flashed one to Region-free as well. Smile [Not that my O2 can play DVD's...too slow]
