I'm evaluating giving the VWS series of SGI machines their own forum, but I figured that this would probably be a half-decent experimental forum for this kind of discussion. They aren't really in the site's core scope - but I know that people have been asking if I can add separate categories. I really want to avoid ghost town subforums more than I can - but this will test if they're popular enough to warrant their own section.
