New Forums for 2019
Good evening!

I've added some overhaul to our list of forums by a mix of demand and a growing realization that Nekochan isn't going to come back. Because of that, I'm not using a stripped out set of forums again. We're up to full featured.

I've removed the irisware forum from circulation due to the hiatus/cancellation of the project. We're considering a bunch of new directions for that.

I'm gonna slowly start splitting out stuff in the off-topic forums into the various areas and adding some more social sections. The forums are under-utilized due to the activity of the discord, but that's not necessarily good, since discord isn't a replacement.

https://codeberg.org/SolusRaion -- Code repos I control

Technical problems should be sent my way.

What I mean is that it's a complementary aspect.

Discord is a live discussion, but it isn't a forum. It's not persistent.

I don't like IRC because it's too basic, too insecure, and too inaccessible. But increasingly, we're getting younger people who prefer discord to other forms of communication and I don't want to miss out

I like IRC. But I'm an old grey beard.

The forums are still very important because it keeps experience in perpetuity. I can't tell you how often I've referred to the forums for things I was trying to do. The nekochan archive is proof of this.

The problem with Discord is that it isn’t a good place to place reference material, for future use by others, as the discussions move on so quickly. However, it’s a great place to socialize!
