RE: How-To Guide - Upgrading the Indy PROM
The main reason people want me to host them is for MAME emulation.

I'm the system admin of this site. Private security technician, licensed locksmith, hack of a c developer and vintage computer enthusiast.

https://contrib.irixnet.org/raion/ -- contributions and pieces that I'm working on currently.

https://codeberg.org/SolusRaion -- Code repos I control

Technical problems should be sent my way.

they are named ip24prom.070-9101-003.bin and -008.bin

Are you the one who captured indigo2_4415.zip?

Inside is a file called ip22prom.070-1367-002.bin. The thing is, I captured an identical image in 2005 named ip22prom.070-8127-002.bin. The 070-8127-002 label is the part# sticker on the EPROM.

I never understood why there's a 070-1367-0xx series and a 070-8127-0xx series of ROMs for the same system, and I don't think it corresponds to the IMPACT / Extreme series of graphics.

No, i renamed the image from one of my dumps and gave it to Ryan. He made the zipfile for the Indigo2.

The image label we, apparently incorrectly, inferred from the -012 image residing on your ftp-site. We need to address that labelling error in future PROM dumps.

Makes two of us. There is little information on PROM labelling, so any information would be welcome.

For now i googled a bit and for other 070-1367-xxx versions i came up with -010 as oldest mention of that PROM label series.

The 070-8127-xxx series i found this, rather exotic link: https://www.computerhistory.org/collecti.../102757739 which infers that -002 up to and including -006 are 070-8127 series.
