Can you run a N64 through the video input on an Indy?
I've just bought a nice example of one of these machines on eBay and don't have a TV, can I run it through the video input on an Indy? (If this is possible it will definitely give one of my Indy's a purpose.)

I am aware that there was a development board for the N64 implemented as an optional board for the Indy.

Thanks! I'll give it a try when I get it, and if the Indy can't keep up, I'll use my 320 visual workstation, but I'll have to get it up here first!

I've wondered this as well. I don't have a TV, and was thinking an N64, but also a digital tv tuner box for when it's football season, I can watch Cowboys games on my O2. Granted, I won't be able to see Witten's lovely tight-end in high-def, but I really only keep the games on for background noise when I'm nerding around.

I will try it out next week when I receive it. ArrowMoogle on discord informed me that it will work! Smile

My N64 arrived today, but I can't use it as yet, as I don't possess any games for it and I would also like to get these upgrades for it first, it at least it did arrive safely from the UK!

I have the same idea purchased a Nintendo 64 just to try this, connected it to my O2 using svideo.

What i got is simple lowres (240p) modes don't work black screen. But if you run a game that have the menus on hires mode and choose on the game options to run the game on highres(interlaced 480i) like perfect dark or star wars for example the game will display fine on the O2.

This is a shame because most games will fail to display in the o2, not shure why the capture hardware don't like this mode but remember this mode is very common but is a hack. Video input from other sources not game consoles is always 480i.

I’ve managed to get my PS1 to display through the Indy, just the startup and CD menu at this point. I still need to get games for it to do further testing.

I should have Perfect Dark for my N64 in the next few weeks, as well as games for the SEGA Mega Drive, so I will be able to finally do some proper testing!

From what I’ve seen from the PS1 so far, it’s really cool, as it runs in the proper resolution, and doesn’t try to stretch the output to display full screen.

I received Perfect Dark today and got it up and running through the Indy.

I unfortunately don't have an EXPANSION PAK installed in the machine as yet:

Tried to do the same with PS2+O2 combination but the picture was never so fine...

I am no longer posting from the moose, SGI O2 with R10k/250, 1GB RAM,  IRIX 6.5.27, unfortunately.
