Meet Rin Suzune, Dodoid's new Tezro

Meet Rin Suzune, Dodoid's new Tezro
So back about 2 months ago Dodoid and I found a Tezro on Yahoo auctions.

It was in good shape, had a DCD, good plastics and came with a Dmedia. So he and I worked together and I bid on it for him and won it.

Then we had to figure out how to get it from Noppin/Crescent Trading (my auction deputy in Japan, highly recommend as Masamichi runs a tight ship!) to the US.

We decided on FedEx Air. Total including shipping was about $1300 USD

It got held up in customs for a week and I had to provide written proof about it because the fuckers couldn't read Japanese on the customs form. Assholes.

Anyways, it finally got safe to us, and here it is out of the box:

It works!

Not a bad config. 4x700MHz, 4G of RAM, V12/DCD, didn't have any drives. I stuck in a small seagate cheetah

Installing!

It's installed and working now

And about the namesake, it's from Senran Kagura:

This character. She's adorable, and Dodoid was rolling his eyes the entire time when I explained this. This is about as nice as my Tezro, Murasaki.

Thank you a ton, of course. Excited to try it out at VCFE and perhaps work on a video when I get it home. Seems like it's in nice shape and spec is pretty good (didn't know what it was when I bought it other than that there was clearly a DCD and some cards visible at the back).

On hostnames: my Octane's hostname is Octane, my Onyx's I think might still be IRIS. I'm generally not very creative with them, but I'll let the name stay.

It's a good config, easy to upgrade, good price (Those plastics are PERFECT!) and it's clean and doesn't have any issues.
