Powerstorm 4D10T on Digital UNIX 4.0E
Hi,
I am having a bit of trouble getting my newly acquired Powerstorm 4D10T graphics card working correctly under Digital UNIX 4.0E on my PWS 433au.
I have an older copy of the Open3D driver for it, O3D491. I noticed the newest version was available on an old Compaq site link as O3D496.tar, I don't suppose anyone has a copy of that lying around I could try? I searched around for quite a while and unfortunately came to the conclusion I can only get it from newer SPL CDs than I currently have since all freely available online sources are long gone.
I think my current older copy should work though as the documentation says it is for 4.0E and it installed correctly and rebuilt the kernel. In the logs it claims no graphics console is configured. Am I missing a step to configure the graphics console from within the operating system? I expected it to at least output a default 640x480 resolution as I'm pretty sure that's what the 4D40T I have in my other alpha machine did until I installed the Open3D kits for it. The Xserver.conf file seems to be set up correctly for the comet driver which is what I believe I want for the 4D10T.
The card definitely works as it performs as expected under Windows NT and OpenVMS (although I think I still need to adjust a config file to increase the resolution under VMS).
Thanks,
Chris
