I am willing to give it a try to install Solaris 10 via serial console, but will only have time to tackle it on the weekend.
I got the following with the machine, as it's a brand new machine so it therefore came with all of it's paperwork:

It has the IP address and Hostid for the machine
I will just need a step by step set of instructions, as this is the first SUN machine that I've ever played with.
I see that you mentioned setting up the frame buffer manually, just note that I don't have the correct cable available to me at the moment to hook the graphics card up to my monitor. (I only have an SGI 13w3 to VGA cable and it doesn't work with this system.)
