Should be pretty straightforward. Set up a share in Windows, install Sharity, launch the GUI and mount the share using a username/password from your Windows machine.

Sharity can also be operated from the console, I have it in a startup script to automatically map the Windows share on login for my SGIs.

If you're experiencing issues, try launching the Sharity GUI as root to test if this works. If so, could be a permission issue for the folder you're mounting into on the SGI machine.

Does this require internet or not? because I still can not connect to it when I was installing sharity I said something about Windows server or WINS, I do not understand what it is, as I said before I'm new to IRIX and a networking noob, so in Windows I only have to create a working group and then try to access the working group on IRIX or you have to do more things to make it work
