Different ways to approach this, but I must admit I have never tried it myself. You can probably try Samba for the most direct approach, although I think you may run into some issues if you have Windows 10 installed. Another possibility is through an NFS server installed in your Windows machine (FreeNFS maybe?).

I am a simple folk, I have an ftpd server installed on a spare debian machine for other purposes, and I keep my IRIX tars stored there. If I need to get a file I just ftp from the IRIX machine and get files as necessary. It is probably not an optimum arrangement, but it works fine for me.
