Nekoware 2025
This kinda got sprung before I was ready but here goes:

Nekoware is finally coming back as a clean slate distribution.

For the 2025Q2 Release, I'm planning on the following applications and games at minimum:

Games:
Chocolate Doom (includes Heretic, Hexen, Strife)
PrBoomPlus (enhanced Doom)
dgen (genesis emulator)
snes9x (snes emulator)
micropolis

Applications
Dropbear SSH 2019.78 -- this is an old port, but I'll try to get it working one newer stuff.

Acute viewers will know that libmng and gperf are part of the dependency chain for Motif Netsurf. I'll be honest, not sure how capable I am to tackle that off the bat, but that's that.

Some other differences:

GNU development utils I'm mostly moving into my separate optxeno project if they aren't runtime dependencies for apps. Same with Perl. This is primarily because this stuff is a pain to build and maintain as a tardist, so the less I gotta rebuild and bootstrap each quarter (until people step up to help) the better.

Code:
neko_baselibs.tardist              neko_faad_faac.tardist             neko_libarchive.tardist            neko_lz4.tardist                   neko_pkgconf.tardist               neko_snes9x.tardist
neko_bzip2_xz.tardist              neko_flac.tardist                  neko_libffi.tardist                neko_lzo.tardist                   neko_prboomplus.tardist            neko_speex.tardist
neko_cdrtools.tardist              neko_freeglut.tardist              neko_libidn.tardist                neko_mandoc.tardist                neko_screen.tardist                neko_theora.tardist
neko_chocolatedoom.tardist         neko_freetype2_fontconfig.tardist  neko_libjpeg_turbo.tardist         neko_mbedtls.tardist               neko_sdl12.tardist                 neko_thttpd.tardist
neko_cmake.tardist                 neko_giflib.tardist                neko_libmikmod.tardist             neko_mksh.tardist                  neko_sdl12_image.tardist           neko_tiff.tardist
neko_curl.tardist                  neko_glew.tardist                  neko_libmng.tardist                neko_mpg123.tardist                neko_sdl12_mixer.tardist           neko_timidity.tardist
neko_dgen.tardist                  neko_gperf.tardist                 neko_libwebp.tardist               neko_ogg_vorbis.tardist            neko_sdl12_net.tardist             neko_xrender.tardist
neko_dropbearssh.tardist           neko_lame.tardist                  neko_libxg.tardist                 neko_openal.tardist                neko_sndfile.tardist               neko_xvid.tardist
neko_expat.tardist                 neko_lcms2.tardist                 neko_libxml2.tardist               neko_opus.tardist                  neko_sndio.tardist                 neko_zlib.tardist

Some dependencies are combined (freetype/fontconfig, ogg/vorbis, baselibs(libressl, libiconv), render/xrender were put together as well.) so the actual number of packages is 60.

I'm doing this by myself, for myself. I am welcoming to anyone wno wants to contribute and I left a lot of simple packages for people to dip their toes in.

It's not released yet, so don't ask for tardists. This is just a test run I'm working on.

Technical problems should be sent my way.
