Nice to read about your story. I also got interested in SGI in a similar way. Growing up being fascinated by the graphical effects in T2 and Jurassic park etc. Then playing GL-Quake1/2/3 as a kid I'd read the console and wonder what OpenGL was, I'd read all the extensions and they'd be like SGI_GL_X etc etc, it made me very interested in SGI. Today I am now owning 2x Octanes and 1x o2 which I recently acquired. I enjoy learning the operating system and playing around with various software.
