I understand that entirely, and I don't want to put this forum at risk in any way, but as I'm so fond of pointing out, if you contact any of these software manufacturers and ask them to sell you a version of their product that runs on IRIX, generally speaking, they will not understand what you are asking about (believe me, I've tried!), or else they'll just hang up on you. So to me, and yeah, I know this is not 'legally' correct, but as far as I'm concerned, it's freeware now. And if their lawyers want to come after me, fine, I'm just sitting right here waiting for them.
