Michalis Pastras wrote a very comprehansive guide to VFO compilation for various boardsets. He goes into detail about his 1600x1024 attempts for the O2 on page 27 of his guide. (I saved the guide to my dropbox for future use). He also covers the V6/V8 timing bug and suitable work-around resolutions.
