Maple 7 in FTP
I just uploaded a custom tardist of Waterloo Maple 7 to /incoming. The original distribution was not an irix native package, so I tried to fix that by repackaging the installation from my Indy. As far as I can tell there are only one set of libraries and binaries in the original distribution so this should work on any 6.5 machine. It includes a tiny startup script to assist bringing up the license manager in a working fashion which allows the application to run completely. You should be able to install the tardist and run

Code:
/usr/local/maple/bin/xmaple

Maple 7 is a computer algebra system like Mathematica. Aside from their differences in features of which there are many, Maple 7 has the advantage of being n32 which means that it runs on Indigo/Indy/O2, not just Octanes like Mathematica 5.2.
