That's what I feared. Then I will have to fall back to my ATX power supply conversion project. But this will take time... Thank you, anyway. Make sure it gets in good hands!

Yeah, that's a shame. If it wern't for WinWorld and such sites, I wouldn't even have a compiler for my Alpha box, even though I have a license! And everybody knows that a machine without compilers is as dead as a brick.

But to be fair, the culprit in this case is not Microsoft, but Sun, who demanded all VisualStudio 6 being taken from download sites, in the Java court settlement. You can still download Visual C++ 1.52 for Win16 from MSDN, but not VC6.
