Terrible SGI O2 videos

RE: Terrible SGI O2 videos
I'm not making excuses for them. It is sad. The plastics did look good. The fact that the video had under 500 views after 10 years shows you how little interest there is in smashing SGI. I guess acknowledging that it was 10 years ago lessens the impact for me.

We had quite a few SGI machines get thrown away when Digital Domain moved from Venice to Playa Del Rey. Even two very nice quad CPU Tezros and many origin 200 that were in very good condition and had the front flaps.

Many of us offered to take them. The management said they would look into it and give them to us if there wasn't some conflict with software/drives and we said...keep the drives please don't throw them out.

After a week or so we were told they were to be moved to the new facility and then we could pick them up once they were given a clear of being free of NDA proprietary software, code, or NDA protected content.

Well, they never made it to the facility. They were mistakenly mixed up with another shipment of stuff and was thrown away while the trash arrived at the new place.

Two very maxxed out Tezros. Ten origin 200. Quite a few Octane and o2 ended up just like the video. I had asked what trash place they went to and no one could tell me.
