I just noticed that one of the files is just a 404 error message from the web server saved as a .zip.
If anybody of you can test these things and can document how to turn this into a working distribution, please let me know. Maybe it is even possible to build a more recent version of cygwin with those files as a starting point.

My own experience with NT on Alpha wasn't all that great. Sure, it works, but the overall lack of applications is annoying. FX32 isn't bad, but then you could only run some old Win32 software as long as the software is fully 32bit NT clean.
You can have a similar experience with Windows XP or Windows Server 2003 on Itanium. Just faster und with more compatible x86 software.
