For anyone interested, I find the nearest look to the way the modern o2/octane/octane2/tezro logos is by using the "SGI" in Bold.

To get them working for me under Arch Linux I placed the raw files (the *.ttf without the directory) in ~/.fonts.

Inkscape then finds them and they are super nice res.
