Resetting Toolchest and Desktop

Resetting Toolchest and Desktop
Greetings All,

After installing Effect on my Octane it modified all of the user accounts and removed the Desktop, Selected,Find,System and Help menu items.  It also removed all of the standard Desktop icons.

How can I restore them?

Toolchest is easy. Check for a .chestrc if it exists, remove it.

Try these commands in the console:

chkconfig desktop on
chkconfig mediad on
chkconfig autofs on
chkconfig soundscheme on
