Here's the final rendering of this project, it's now as complete as it's going to be! (For now anyway, as I didn't get enough information from the available photographs to accurately place the LED's on the top panels inside the machine (As this machine is unique), so they've been omitted for now!)

It's been rendered in 4K:

Next I'm going to model a Thinking Machines Corporation CM-2!!!! (Connection Machine)

@Audiophage Requested me to send him this model so that he could play around with it on more modern software.

Here's his first rendering: (I personally think it's very cool!)

By more modern, what exactly? Like, a more recent version of Maya? Just wondering... 😁

Project: Temporarily lost at sea
Plan: World domination! Or something...

That looks like a Redshift or Octane render.Ā

Could be in Maya or C4D as the main app.Ā
Very nice overall, and he didn't clean up the render noise which often can help it feel more tactile though it likely could have used a little more sampling than it has, it is still a nice render.

As a kid, the Cray was as mysterious as Stonehenge. Your model and art are very good. Bravo Irinikus!
(looking forward to the ThinkingMachine to0, no pressure though)
