Replacing the casters on the bottom of origin 2k desk-side - Raion - 12-17-2018

I just got back yesterday for North Carolina with a car full of SGI stuff . I am now in possession of a full origin 2000 desk-side server but I need to figure out how to fix these casters on the bottom. Everytime I roll it little pieces of rubber come off and it starts scratching my floor. Does anybody know the size of caster that these take and could possibly provide me with insight on the easiest way to replace them?

I guess you are talking about the wheels in the wheelbase? The axels seem to be riveted, so i don't know if they can be replaced easily.
Maybe you can source a replacement wheelbase. I myself happen to have one for sale, though i'm in Europe.

I may take you up on your offer for that early next year. For now I am considering just drilling out the rivets and axles, finding casters of the same size, and welding new ones in ( I have a buddy with a welder )
