A side by side comparison between the MIPS R3000, R5000, R10000 and a DEC Alpha chip - Irinikus - 12-13-2018

I thought it would be interesting to post these images:

What's very interesting here, is the sheer weight of the R10000, it's much heavier than the other chips!

Out of interest, which process was used for each?

I still have my R10K 250Mhz I pulled from my O2 pimm sitting in my desk drawer...

The R3000 is from an IRIS Indigo, Both the R5000 and R10000 are from O2 modules and the Alpha chip is from a DEC Alphastation 255, 233 MHz machine.

Sorry I meant which fabrication process...65nm, 22nm etc...
