Installing demos and dev tools -
Knezzen - 11-19-2018
When I installed IRIX on my Octane about two years ago I didn't have the developer tools or Mipspro in my possession.
I would like to add these to my install afterwards. Is this possible? Is it possible as well to install the IRIX demos afterwards?

Certainly, just pop in the disks, open them as a source in inst, select what you need and set it going. The modular nature of IRIX makes it pretty simple to install a base installation and then add/remove bits as you like.

Wonderful! Problem is I don't have a CD-ROM drive for my Octane (really should get one), so I need to get the files off the iso's first.
Thanks for the info!

Looks like the development tools are up on the FTP, so you can just snag them from there. You'll need a license key, but *cough* someone could probably point you in the right direction *cough*

Aha! Would "someone" please do?
EDIT:
So I'm trying to install everything but I'm getting insane amounts of conflicts.
In what order should I install everything?
