Convert Medea' Video raid into JBOD - bjames - 11-15-2018
I have 2 Medea' RTS that use the Ultra VHD68 connectors. In therory they should work with the Octane HD68 and my O2 PCI Ultra Scsi card. When I tried connecting to the O2, i just got a bunch of SCSI time outs, then followed by IRIX seeing the drive but not being able to Initialize the disk. Also when ever i shut down the system, the system saves a Core file suggesting a crash of some sort.
Is there a way I can break the Raid device down to a JBOD (Raid 0) configuration so that I can initialise each drive and Stripe them instead? I am wondering now if the Medea' is setup for RAID3 (fails safe), then SGI probably does not play well with RADI3.
