I have to say that it kind of disappointed me as well! :( (I expected much better multi-tasking capability.)
It seems to have allot of grunt when focusing on a single task, but it's performance degrades rapidly as multiple instances of programmes are opened.
I'll have to test it with a program such as Quake3 in the future to see how it performs with a single intensive task.

You are right. Unfortunately even IR performs multitasking not nearly as good as latest ODYSSEY revisions (which SGI especially otimized for such kind of work).

Better try SPEC's viewperf (6.1.2 & 7.1). It provides MUCH more load for graphics subsystem than Q3.
