After installing AutoCadR13 on Octane all Icons are gone - MatzeLoCal - 09-11-2025
Hi,
today I received an HD Sled which I bought on ebay. The Sled contained a 4GB Disk which I would not use … but I was curious and it contained data. According to the filenames it must be some CAD-Files. The easiest way for me was to just give it a try with AutoCAD R13 … I used the Software Installer and the install process went through flawlessly. acad did not start becaused "libcommand.su" was missing … I turned my Octane off … few hours later I fired it up again and
The Desktop has no Dumpster and no other Icons. I opened a file window: The Filename where present, but no icons …
Does anyone know what went wrong and how I can fix it?

It seems that the desktop files were changed by the install script? Are you logging in as "root"?
