Vpro - What are Genlock Port and Swap Ready Port - def13 - 09-10-2018

What are Genlock Port and Swap Ready Port on the rear of the VPro boards ?
I don't find anything about these ports except some tech docs like this one :
http://solitudo.net/hardware/manuals/007-4210-002.pdf, but nothing else.

Is Genlock Port is a video I/O port ? Where could I find explanations on how to use it ?

The "genlock" port allows you to synchronize multiple outputs to a single reference signal to minimize flickering across screens.

As one example, imagine a video wall installation, with many screens driven by several Octanes.  You'd want all the screens to refresh at the same time, otherwise the flickering of individual screens would drive viewers crazy.

There's a bit of background information in the Wikipedia "genlock" article.  But unless you're doing multi-source video work, you don't need it.  You use it by simply connecting a stable sync source to the input and then the hardware does the rest.

Thanks for your answer.

Genlosk is only sync signal and no video signal. It's clear.
