ElectroGIG 3DGO irix? - radiance - 09-04-2018

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone has a copy of 3DGO for irix ?
I found a version with ECOFF / irix 4.x binaries that I can't run and I wonder if any newer versions exist...

I remember playing around with it on linux a few years after ElectroGIG's bankruptcy and complete disapearance...

I have also been looking around for ElectroGig (and remember installing it on linux back in 1999). Not sure what the last version for IRIX was though. Hopefully someone here has some info.

i have a copy, uploading 2.4 it now...

edit: I also found a file called "GIG.unknown.version.tar", I uploaded it too, it doesn't seem to contain an installation script/binary, so perhaps if someone can figure out what this is and how to use it we can all benefit from it...

oh hey, can you upload those?  I have a COFF system that would love to see those

edit: nevermind, seems the version I uploaded (2.4) is COFF. Seems I had this software but never really played with it before

Ok,

I just uploaded it to ftp.irix.cc into the /incoming directory.
It's called "GIG_3DGO_2.4_IRIX.tar.gz"

After uploading it I can't see the file though, is that normal ? (my first upload to this ftp server)

yeah its normal, /incoming doesn't show you what's there until admin moves it.

Looks like we have the same version, 2.4 seems to be coff :(

I can upload ver. 3.2 if needed. It runs fine in demo mode.)

IIRC, gig3dgo was included in sgi hot mix 19 CD that was included in the irix 6.5.8 box set.
