SGI O2 HDD caddy -

It's a long shot but I'm looking for the O2 HDD Caddy 3D files, they were in this thread
https://forums.irixnet.org/thread-69.html but the attachment is no longer accessible.

Hi Daniel,
Welcome to the forums. Unfortunately that attachment no longer exists because when we first started up I started having people upload files that couldn't be opened on IRIX (ZIP isn't supported in the base install) and we also had some malicious ZIPs uploaded, this resulted in a decision to mass cull the ZIPs we had after migration from PHPBB3.
That being said I'm sure somebody has it backed up and can advise you further. They will have to upload it as a tar file though, which on Windows you can use 7zip (7zip.org) for opening.

Hi,
Thanks! Someone here already sent me a link to get archive so I'm good to go. I will give it a try at 3D printing and if everything is OK I will make sure to put in a IRIX friendly format, as a long time UNIX user (more precisely SUN Solaris ) I know very well

Yep I actually eventually want to make a repository for the sort of thing. But yeah zips are nasty business so I can't really offer them because of how much virus code can be encrypted in it.

Now after some months, I finally got my 3D-printed drive sleds. Originally, I extracted these parts from the complete O2 model out of the “IV view” demo.
These parts do fit perfectly but the structure to hold the EMI shield in place is somehow missing, so the shield cannot be used with them.
And yes, the surfaces of the parts don’t look quite well but it’s my first time with 3D-printing and I don’t know, how it can be done better.

Hey Jan,
I am just wondering if you could share the link for the drive caddy STL 3D print files? I just got an O2 and it is is missing the drive caddy.
Thanks
Cheers,
Ryan
