Sgi f181 flat screen monitor -

Anyone using this monitor? How is it? It appears to have the same specs (brightness and contrast ratio) as the Sony sdm p232w 23” monitor that was generally sold with the Terzo. I have 3 of the Sony 23” monitors that I am happy with the display performance. I’m looking for a 4:3 monitor to use on older systems.
Thanks

It's not the best. Kaigan has a 1600x1200 medical display I gave him that should be also capable of 2K (it has two single link DVIs) I got another a while back. It's in storage right now, but they're sold in usual places (the bay of e's, PM me for links as I won't share them publicly
Others, please refrain from sharing eBay public links!)

I’d be interested in the model info on that medical monitor you mentioned just know a real dual DVI input monitor (two screens on one screen).

Yeah I was looking at some of the medical grade monitors on the bay, very nice and slightly higher specs. As mentioned in my original post, the published specs for the f181 are completely identical to the Sony PremierPro 23” that was also branded an an sgi. I have 3 of these and the picture quality is not much difference to my more modern Dell UltrASharp. The Sony 23” was the Uber top line professional monitor in the day.
I may take a gamble and hope the brightness and sharpness is similar to the 23”s. The goal here is to find authentic sgi standard aspect ratio displays to use on older sgi workstations.
On a side note, connecting a Dell UltraSharp 30” 3k monitor to an Octane 2 V12 look amazing. I have never seen the Softimage interface so large, bright and super crisp.
Why do all my images taken posted from my IPad always flip them upside down…Doh!

That's your computer and not the website doing it. You might need to download them to a desktop first and send them over.
There's nothing in our code that can possibly flip an image upside down.

Its exif image orientation data is "top, left." Not sure if your IPad has a setting you can change for that, I don't know very much about Apple products. Or about anything for that matter... 😆

I alway use a script with exiftool to blast EXIF info off my photos before post...don't want stupid rotation BS nor iPhone personal info + location inside the photos....the more you know.............
Your Image has a 180 Degree rotation directive for orientation, plus your GPS location when taken, plus the camera len info used on your iPad 5th Generation. I'll not post personal info of course. If I were you, why don't you edit your post, delete the pic, scrub that photo, and add back the scrubbed pic.
I generally resize to 1920 with apple preview after I delete all EXIF data and rotate image manually in case of wrong orientation. Also the Phone 13 Pro I have defaults to HEVC encoding...I could change it but it reminds me I have to run my web posting scrubbing script change it to JPEG, run exiftool to scrub it, then resize it when I airdrop my photos for IrixNet usage.

Not sure how the image displays on other peoples computers when you click to enlarge, but on my Pad the thumbnail is upside down, but when I click to enlarge, the image displays correctly.
Thanks for the good feedback,
