Hey guys,
Sorry for the blip, it turns out we had a mysql crash (this was a bug in a language plugin, I hotfixed it) and it caused a table crash. all tables are online at this time and repaired, our Innodb configuration is pretty robust. My apologies for the 15 or so mins.

I just performed a recovery test to lessen downtime, it worked super well! Last blip hopefully

Today the server was inaccessible for some reason due to a routing issue with the host. Weird stuff... I may switch providers if this recurs again this year. Can't keep having downtime. I won't be using AWS of any crap like that unfortunately, I prefer not dealing with big tech

My provider (small local provider) has a fantastic service and a friend of mine (bandmate) is a manager there.
They have a small data center and charge 20 EUR/month for 1U with 1Gbit/s. If we need 10Gbit, it's a bit more.
We can build a redundant setup if there's interest, in the spirit of avoiding big tech.
I avoid big tech like the plague but, unfortunately, use AWS Glacier as of now. I'm building a secondary big NAS with a friend in Brazil and, once ready, will stop using it.
Glacier is incredibly cost-effective.
I also use AWS when I need to do extended maintenance of what I host at home. I've got a beefy connection at my grandparents in Brazil, but it's very expensive to get equipment there and, once the rack there is ready, I won't need AWS anymore even as plan B.

That is good to know but we do have a sponsor at the moment (DefaultRoute) I plan to at some point send some stuff to his Data center for us but that is contingent on things going well here on my end. If I can get rid of some of my crap that I should be able to afford what I'm looking for!
