Adobe Illustrator now available - vishnu - 08-24-2018

Adobe Illustrator 5.5 for Irix is now available on the webserver running in my basement. PM me if you need a link to the website. Just FYI: Kaz has mirrored a bunch of the stuff that's available at my website (or it's equivalent that he or another of us might have packaged up) to the ftp link here.

Next up at my website: Adobe Premiere, but note that it is a version that does not work with any sort of V Pro graphics. It just hangs without even being able to put up it's splash screen. If you can figure out how to get it to run under V Pro please let us know, thanks a bunch! :)

Thanks very much!

How do I install it, as when I make use of "install.ill", it goes into a loop and doesn't allow me to type "yes" before exceeding the loop limit?

Re: Adobe Illustrator now available - vishnu - 08-24-2018

Premier 4.2 is now available at the same link. As before, we have NOT been able to figure out how to get it to run using any type of VPro graphics, but if you do for $DIETY'S sake don't keep it a secret!

Maybe the same sort of hack that was needed to run alias 7.5 on vpro, but backwards? I'll play with it when I get back home (in a week)

I'd check the Alias 7.5 in my O2 and don't work, AliasPA8.1 not works too. I think it's because I use IRIX 6.522m. After that I'd try with Alias PA 8.2 and works.
I'm not sure that the problem is VPro, it's possible that PA 7.5 only work with IRIX 6.2.

Is it compatible with IRIX 6.5.30?

Re: Adobe Illustrator now available - gijoe77 - 08-26-2018

I never had a problem installing illustrator, your saying you type "YES" or "yes" and it just loops? Strange indeed. I know it sounds dumb but try a different keyboard
