Minor Update: 1.8.28 update tonight - Raion - 10-30-2021
Hey folks,
Tonight at around 11PM Eastern Time I will take the forum offline temporarily for about 10-30 depending on how bad the 1.8.28 upgrade breaks shit.
I'm pleased to report this is the last major release of MyBB other than security updates, and they're working hard on 1.9.x
Once a beta is released that has the full template migration to Twig, I will start publishing a "testsite" where you all can see our progress of migration and theming, and I will open a dialogue allowing users to propose changes.

This has been postponed due to more pressing database-related maintenance.

The maintenance will commence at 5:30PM Eastern today. I am sorry for the immediate lack of notice, but there's been a serious security bug released by the MyBB team that required an emergency release, so I'm putting this into high gear.

Upgrades completed ahead of schedule, that turned out to be painless. Security of the site is much less shaky now that the zero days have been patched. Carry on.
