The Atom Engine: A humorous SGI-related dream I had - GameBreaker64 - 08-03-2021

One night, I dreamed that I had an SGI Indy in my bedroom, and for some reason Yeardley Smith, Lisa Simpson's voice actress, was visiting. It was the afternoon, but the blinds were covering the windows and all the lights were off. I was excitedly telling her about the Indy and she basically responded with "That's cool, but why did you need to show me?"

Then the time came to fire it up. I set it up on my brother's nightstand with a SoG monitor. The OS wasn't installed and it almost immediately booted to the command monitor. I don't remember exactly what it said, but I distinctly recall it mentioning this thing called the "Atom Engine". It made perfect sense to my dream self because apparently in this world there was a graphics system released for the Indy with that name.

I have several other crazy Indy dreams but that's the one I remember the most about.
