Its a gamble. Worst thing that will happen is Archive.org will suspend you and kick you off.

That said, there's assloads of abandonware already on there (including piles of SGI CDs,) so I'd say go for it.

Redundancy is fine. Maybe better with Amazon S3 in combination with Glacier.
There are treasures which aren't hosted on archive.org now. That's also why I'm asking. It's also dependent where you upload data to govern jurisdiction (geographic location).
