What is react pro for irix - mamed - 05-06-2021

Saw a guy selling a bunch of disks, one is called react pro 1.0. Would this be like the react used to program Facebook or something different for irix?

No, that's ReactJS. This is probably an IDE of some kind for pre 6.x IRIX.

It was a library product from SGI that supported real-time simulations (such as military or aerospace) on their computers. The idea was to provide response time and bandwidth guarantees. GRIO (guaranteed rate I/O) was a part of the package. It allowed programs to reserve I/O bandwidth that would be exclusively for their own use.

I believe that react/pro 1.0 was for IRIX 5.3. There were later versions, such as 4.2 for IRIX 6.5.22

A doc for a later version is on the techpubs archive.

do you have this 4.2 version?

I do not.
With respect to your other thread about IrixView, from what I can tell they were sold as a package (since developers of real-time simulations that needed REACT/Pro also would need to profile and instrument the system call and frame sync performance of their applications in IrixView). One of the developers of both tools has a web page, you might try getting in contact with him.
