Hello,

Here is my "new" sparcstation 5. It is the TurboSparc 170 Mhz model, with 96 MB Ram, TGX+ Graphics,
and two harddrives (2 GB and 9 GB).

I installed a fresh solaris 2.6. Works just fine, except for the NVRAM which needs battery replacement.

Also need either a type 5 mouse compatible mouse pad, or a non optical mouse

Installed an internal cdrom drive

Note that old cdrom drives dont seem to like 800 MB CD-R. Prefer using 700 MB CD-R

Fixed nvram battery problem by adding a battery holder and a new cr2032.
Also set the correct default boot-device, date and ip parameters.

Got compact type 1 mouse today. work like a charm 😀
