I pay for an aforementioned PSU 1000$ if you can sell one to me in very good condition, tested and working. Ideally with one busbar-adapter.

Shipping would be to Germany, I would pay of course for all expenses on top like packaging, shipping and taxes / customs.

Now look what you made me do  Wink

Like I said before, my own Crimson is due for a PSU rebuild. I will likely use the NOS specimen in red plastic for that. I will need to make sure my own systems all work -- haven't powered up my 4D/380 in quite a while. I keep a spare 5V@250A module especially for it... I'll have to keep at least one spare PSU for myself. Should enough parts remain after that to build one more then I'd be happy to sell it to you. This will take time -- and I too have a job and a family.

As you can see, there's a set of PowerOne bus bar adapters in here and at least two of the custom PCBs that make a generic PowerOne PSU the SGI flavor. I may be low on +12/-12/-5 modules, depending on what works.

Wow Jan-Jaap - that would be great!  Smile Well of course take all the time you need, I have absolutely no urgency concerning the restauration of the Crimson. For me it is more important that a solution is in the pipeline, lesser when. Autumn/Winter in this year would be nice to have the PSU, but even this is not so important.

And if your machines get repaired in that process it is even better!

@Mods: the thread can be closed, the "bounty" will go to Jan-Jaap   Smile

Well not until the transaction is completed do we close threads. You are both also expected to leave feedback etc and update the thread as the deal progresses.
