Can I put IRIX files on GitHub? -

So, I was making a guide on how to launch IRIX in MAME on a ChromeBook on my GitHub-hosted website. I found the hard disk files for IRIX 6.5.22 that were hosted on your website and downloaded them. Would it be legal to put them in the GitHub repository where my website is hosted...? I mean, I know SGI machines cost money in the '90s and '00s, so I'm kinda scared to put the files for free up on GitHub... (Of course, I will credit this website for the files, if this is legal!)

It wouldn't be legal, no. I have a risk that I take by putting them up here that they'll stay under the radar. I would __prefer__ you didn't throw them up on Github for fear of that drawing a spotlight closer to us here.
Also, this belongs in MAME. We keep emulation discussion segregated for various reasons.

Oh, okay. Sorry.

It's cool, I just don't want to take chances of getting a DMCA or worse, a lawsuit, over this.
