3D scan of O2 cdrom front panel. - kikems - 08-09-2018

Hi friends, I'd make a 3D scan of my O2 front bezel. Now I need someone that help me to make a reverse enginering or remodel an idealized 3D model for make it available for download for other users can make their own 3D print replacement.

Kikems, I'll be happy to try working on it. Can't make any promises, but 3D printing is one of my hobbies and I'd love to help out the community with some parts that can be printed to replace things that are hard to get or impossible at this point.

I’ll start tinkering with it!

As an aside, since I don’t have an O2, I’m guessing the button in the bottom right corner is meant to be moveable. If that’s the case I need to know so that I don’t model it altogether as one piece. That would make it less than useful. Hah!

Yes it is, it's mounted on a plastic support internally and is used to engage the CDROM eject microswitch.

You'll see my side retention clips are broken, it's held in place with what goes for 'blue tack' here in the UK (aka Prestik)
