The start of an IBM MCM collection -
Irinikus - 10-28-2020
I noticed the POWER6 MCM years ago, and regard it as being the most "beautiful" microprocessor I've ever seen!
A week ago I ordered one from "Alan CompuTech International (ACI)", in the US and I'm very impressed with their service to say the least! I highly recommend them!!!!
It arrived today and it's an absolutely beautiful, perfect specimen!!!
This definitely marks the start of an IBM MCM collection!!!
If anyone else around here possesses IBM MCM’s, please post them!

Very beautiful indeed...
To whet your appetite, you can check this out:

(the other parts are really interesting as well, despite not related to IBM CPUs in any way)

Nice geometric lines. At one point I had a POWER-2 7030/3CT and while you couldn't see anything of the silicon (encased in metal), I found the heatsink delightfully architectural - looked a bit like an interesting office building. Went ahead and looked one up and attached a picture.
