Octane2 not booting - blacksmith - 10-06-2020

Hello there,
I was trying to boot my Octane2 after quite of long time, and....failure.
For 2 seconds I can see yellow(white) light, then the light turns red. I can hear fans and they are blowing the air, and also I can hear the HDD starting but the LED remains red.
Any thoughts?

Tanks for the tip.

I connected it to serial and I've seen that complains about the "new" memory that I've added. I've thought that should be able to take up to  2G of memory, but checking on Ian's site I can see that my new acquisition (2x 512 KINGSTON) is not compatible with my motherboard. I will have to get a newer one...
But now the question is how can I check the memory that I just got before I send it back?

Thanks

What revision is your motherboard? I would have assumed any Octane2 would have the later motherboards. Not sure there is a way to test the higher density sticks without a newer motherboard.

FWIW the Kingston KSG-OCT/512 (2x256) kits work great in the older revision motherboards.

My motherboard is 030-0887-004-REV-C :(. It came in an Octane 2. I have, though, XBow 1.4 and V8 graphics.
