US Service Impact / Fiber Outage - defaultrouteuk - 09-29-2020
Dear All,
Due to a fiber outage at Greenlawn NY, US services have been impacted. We're working with CenturyLink. Europe services are not impacted.
Sorry for the inconvenience. Will keep you updated on progress.

Update: engineers are onsite and waiting to access a 3rd party area. The fault is understood to be within a currently inaccessible location so there is an unknown ETA.

09/29/2020 10:40:02 GMT - The local provider has arrived onsite and has begun fiber testing.
09/29/2020 11:39:08 GMT - The local provider has reported the additional testing isolated a fault, however the distance was inconclusive. Further isolation efforts are underway.
09/29/2020 11:32:03 GMT - Isolation efforts remain ongoing.

Root Cause: A local provider fiber issue in Greenlawn, NY impacted client services.
Fix Action: The local provider repaired the fiber, thus restoring services to a stable state.
This service impact has concluded.
