Early 3D hardware on PC -

Does anyone know any early 3D boards for the PC except for the IrisVision? By early 3D I mean pre-1994 and with hardware accelerated 3D (not just 2D operations like the TMS340x0 did). Ideally, I'm looking for hardware that had a SDK that would let you build an 3D app, not just drivers provided by the manufacturer. I know cards based on the TMS34082 could accelerate 3D, but I couldn't find the, apparently free,
TMS34082 3-D Graphics Library. I know Matrox did the SM-640, but I couldn't find any information about how to program it.

Pretty sure there was an i860 card you could at least run RenderMan on. Rib might not be perfect but at least it is a full scene description language, if not an app. I have a feeling there were some other things that were supported via I860 but I'm not positive. No idea about the SDK either, sorry.
